The Indian Doctors Association promotes health education in the Houston community and does this by providing college scholarships to Houston area high school seniors. Each year, the IDA gives several scholarships in the amount of $2500 each based on a student's academic performance as well as his/her extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. 

Applications will be open few months prior to our annual gala.    Click here to access the application.   A high school transcript and essay  will need to be emailed to [email protected] upon completion of your application.  

Application will only be reviewed if all elements (application, high school transcript, and essay) are submitted by the deadline for that year.  

Essay Prompt:  a brief, one-page essay (max. 500 words) which should include your future plans and why IDA should award the scholarship to the applicant.
